BOOK YOUR CONSULTATION
A consultation is a conversation, not a commitment…
Speak with our chiropractor to see if Happy Chiropractic is the right place for you to get the care you need.
Do you struggle with your health at all? Feeling lethargic, worried about your posture, experiencing pain, older than your years?
Have you thought why this may be and how life would be different if you not only FELT better but were FUNCTIONING better?
Or perhaps you already feel great but understand the importance of your spine in your overall health…..Wherever you are at……
We focus on understanding you and your health background so that we can help you lead a life more extraordinary and complete.
We are sure your friends and family will be relieved that you are getting healthier!
We are functional chiropractors. By that we mean we test and measure to know as much as we can about important health measures. Then once you undergo care we re-test and re-measure at regular intervals so that you can be confident that functionally you are progressing.
Q. But will I feel better?
A. Rest assured. We will do whatever we can within our area of expertise to ensure you feel better as well as function better.
Usually how we feel doesn’t reflect exactly how well we are functioning and in fact our health status. In life we focus on many different things all at the same time. But if we lose our health we focus on one thing only….How to regain it because without it nothing else seems to matter so much.
We blend our approach to cover how you feel together with knowing how you are functioning. We rely on digital testing performed as part of our neuro-spinal examination to actually know what is happening with you. We test! We don’t guess!
Traditionally chiropractic was NOT about back and neck pain, but given the prevalence of these conditions and the successful outcomes that people experience with these conditions with chiropractic we definitely see many people with these ailments.
Given chiropractic is spine and nerve system focussed often the changes that people notice are in parts of their body separate to the spine. By that we mean that working on the spine may instigate reflex changes in other systems of your body.
Great question and impossible to answer before conducting our detailed neuro-spinal examination. After performing your digital tests, reviewing your health history, looking at your X-Rays (if taken) we will have a better idea as to how long your healthy function has been slipping for. Only then can we give an accurate guide as to healing process time and visit frequency.
Once people have achieved great changes they can either stop coming, or continue coming in for spinal check ups at a regular time interval. The choice is always yours and we will work with you to help you achieve whatever outcome you desire.
Our initial visit is $105 which covers all the tests required to determine what action to take. Regular visits are $67 and we also offer payment schemes which can reduce the regular visit fee further. If you have private health insurance we are registered practitioners so you can claim a portion of your visit back depending on the level of your private health cover.
One thing we are known for is being thorough. We don’t guess! We like to test as scientifically as we can so that we know exactly what is going on with you.
We are always approachable, friendly and compassionate.
We always start with a conversation (aka consultation) so that we can learn more about you and your health objectives. At the same time, it is an opportunity for you to get a feel for our office, figure out what type of approach we like to take and determine if we are the best match for you. (If, after meeting us, you feel we aren’t the best match for you and you tell us that during the first visit, then we will refund you the full amount for this visit)
If we feel like we can help, we will recommend a Comprehensive Neuro-Spinal Examination to dig deeper into what is going on. These tests are completely non-invasive and very comfortable.
The purpose of this examination is to analyse for structural distortions in your spine that result in nerve interference. This nerve interference can effect you in ways that you may notice or feel, but more importantly it may effect you in ways you may have no idea about.
In our experience, these structural distortions can lead to changes in areas of your body away from the spine and contribute to you feeling much less than 100%
Once the examination is completed, we have some homework to do!
We will review all of your results and come up with specific recommendations for you that include:
Exactly what is going on.
What options you have.
How we can help you.
How long it will take.
How much it will cost.
Once all your questions are answered and you and your doctor come to an agreement on your unique plan of action, your care can start right away.
After graduating from RMIT in 1995 with an Award for Excellence in Chiropractic Science, I spent the majority of the next 10 years in the UK, working in many different practices gaining invaluable experience in a variety of adjustment techniques.
Providing help to people of all ages and with a wide variety of health challenges is what motivates me more than anything.
I returned to Australia in 2004 and very successful wellness focused chiropractic centre in Bayside, Melbourne. This centre grew into a thriving centre noted for its wellness approach and promotion of family care. At the end of 2011 I headed back to the UK once more. I returned to Australia in 2015 and am excited to create Happy Chiropractic in Malvern.
I am excited to provide chiropractic care to people from Malvern, Armadale, Caulfield, Toorak and beyond.
I am passionate about assisting as many people as possible to achieve their optimum health and wellness. Having witnessed so many fantastic, positive changes in the individuals I have cared for over the years, I am inspired to keep expanding my knowledge base so as to offer our practice members up-to-date chiropractic care that evolves with the times. In 2012 I become a Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner (CCWP). This certification greatly expanded my knowledge about what factors help to create wellbeing.
With many individuals experiencing increased levels of stress, large periods of time sitting and imperfect dietary habits, sadly there are overall declining health levels in our country. My focus is on health promotion and corrective spinal care to not only address any symptomatic concerns, but to help individuals experience a healthier and, therefore, happier life.
I particularly enjoy seeing entire families as I know the benefits of chiropractic care for children are fantastic, especially as they grow and change so fast.
When I’m not in the studio providing chiropractic care I enjoy spending time with my wife and baby daughter. I’m also an avid sports person, regularly bike riding, running, swimming, and playing golf.
